Well, I've been skulking around on #scotland for months now, so it seems appropriate that I make my mark here, so to speak.

My actual name is Craig Paterson, and I'm a 4th year Computer Science student at the University of Aberdeen. That makes me one the elite minority on #scotland who are actually in Scotland :) . Born in Aberdeen, the intervening years between chewing sticklebricks and commencing university were spent in a selection of English towns, e.g. Macclesfield, Chichester, Chester. Chester being the longest, at 10 years. Oh yes, I'm 21 just now.

I'm currently engaged on a dissertation to pick out patterns in music and display graphics patterns according to them. Other than that, Expert Systems, Parallel Processing, things like that. For most of the practical work I use an SGI worksation, and I'm so often lurking on IRC because it lets me have a window open in the background for it. Honest.

This is a really crap bio, eh? Erm ... what else ... Oh yes, hobbies. I do bit of rock climbing, skiing, play the odd game of squash, ride a bike about if I'm feeling fit. I work for the university part time as a barman in the legendary Hillhead Halls Bar ...

Right. This is shite. I'll write a better one as soon as I can make up a fictional character with an exciting life who I can pretend to be.
