So anyways, I'm a 19 year old African-American Female Psychology Student from Ann Arbor, Michigan. That's about it.
Well actually there's a bit more. I go to a small liberal arts college outside of Philadelphia called Swarthmore College. Its very beautiful here but the work can get to you, so I spend a lot of my time doing other things besides classes. My main side track is music. I've been a singer ever since I can remember. I sing mostly classical, gospel, a cappella, and r and b. This semester I joined a new band on campus specializing in classic funk and soul, we have a name but I don't like it. If you have any ideas for a name for this large soul band please send them to me.
Besides singing music, I spend way too much money supporting my music addiction. I listen to all types including hip hop, techno, house, r and b, jazz, latin, and even some alternative modern rock stuff. In fact a couple of my friends and I are doing a show on the radio station here. So if your in the area be sure to listen to "The Third Dimension" with Magenta Black, Special K (me) and Nancy B, Fridays 1-3 PM on 91.5 FM WSRN. Some concerts I saw this summer were Bjork, Massive Attack, Jamiroquai, Omar, Dubtribe, The Orb, and Tito Puente. Basically if you ever want to talk music, msg me. Right Iggy and Natas and Thanos? *daps* I love to go clubbing and raving, too. You can also find me on #rave and #nose.
I guess your probably wondering how I came to be a regular on #scotland. And no I'm NOT of scottish descent, geesh;-) I am however planning to study abroad at the University of Glasgow for the academic year of 1996-1997. I guess I joined #scotland hoping to talk to some scottish people or at least those who had opinions on the place, silly me, what was I thinking? Anyways it grew on me, especially when peeps started giving me ops, cool.
So if any of you have opinions/advice/gripes about Glasgow, music or anything else, drop me a line at kneighb1@cc.swartmore.edu . I did find some cool music from Glasgow though (no, not Runrig heheh)...Nightcrawlers are the bomb (Push the Feeling On!). Also, Average White Band...my band is actually doing a cover of their version of "Work to Do". Speaking of work, Chem 10 rears its ugly head again....
